Pointing Dog Training Camps

The HerUpland Pointing Dog Training Camp offers a unique four-day experience for women and youth looking to improve their skills in training Pointing dogs, from novices to advanced handlers. The camp starts with an evaluation of each dog’s abilities, followed by intensive training sessions focused on obedience, relationship building, steadiness in the field, upland and waterfowl skills, retrieve training, tracking wounded gamebirds, and working in brace with other dogs. Wingshooting Camps

New 2025 Format! The HerUpland Wingshooting Clinic is a two-day immersive experience designed to enhance confidence and competence in the field through professional wingshooting instruction, live bird hunting scenarios, and essential skills seminars. Participants rotate through clay shooting instruction (4 hours), fieldwork with planted birds (4 hours), and educational seminars covering topics like shotgun patterning, gun cleaning, lead-free ammunition, and conservation. Unlike traditional clinics, this event fosters community and mentorship, with evening campfire gatherings to strengthen connections. Participants may bring their own dogs, and trained dogs will also be available. Whether you’re preparing for hunting season or looking to refine your shooting skills, this clinic offers an unparalleled wingshooting experience that bridges the gap between the range and the field.FAQ’s

Hunting Camps

HerUpland Hunting Skills Camp is a five-day empowering experience designed for women and youth interested in learning or enhancing their upland hunting skills. This camp offers 4 hours of professional wingshooting instruction, hands-on learning in game bird processing, and upland species identification. Participants will also gain proficiency in using the onX Maps app for navigation, understanding essential upland gear, shotgun maintenance, and will delve into the ethics of hunting and conservation. Flushing Dog Training Camps

The HerUpland Flushing Dog Training Camp is a four-day event specifically tailored for women and youth interested in enhancing their Flushing dog’s training, suitable for all levels from novice to advanced. This comprehensive camp focuses on various aspects of training, including obedience, relationship building, field cooperation, upland and waterfowl skills, field and water work, retrieve training, tracking wounded gamebirds, and working in brace with other dogs.
